Project: St Finian's Church, Clonard, Co Meath
Architect: Pat Weafer MRIAI, Patrick Weafer Architects
We were appointed ac conservation engineers for this historically significant church in order to rectify progressive structural issues with the roof of the building and to facilitate a major upgrade of the fabric, services and interiors of the building. A new roof support structure had to be installed within the existing roof in order to preserve the original ornate timber ceilings. A new sacristy and a new basement level boiler house were constructed, the gallery was upgraded and new floors were installed throughout. The project was completed in April 2010.
