Kingscourt Church

Architect: Niall Smith MRIAI, Niall Smith Architects

A major refurbishment of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kingscourt was undertaken in conjuction with Niall Smith Architects. The scope of work included recovering of the roofs including extensive work to lead roofs and components, works to ceilings, rainwater goods and the reconfiguration of the gallery. The most prominent feature of the works was the completion of the spire/bell tower. The original design for the church included a spire which was not completed at the time of the original construction of the church in the late nineteenth century. This project, completed in February 2012, finishes the work which was originally started in the 1869.
